Get ready to put on your green clothes and shake your shamrocks: the 8th annual Vancouver St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins in just over 1 hour!
The parade route begins at Howe and Drake, proceeds north along to Georgia Street, turns right on Georgia and ends at Georgia and Granville Streets, right next to Canada Line’s Vancouver City Station.
The Parade is the culmination of the eight-day Vancouver CelticFest, and celebrations—including live music and a street market—happen both before and after the parade at the Celtic Village on Granville Street, between Smithe and Georgia.
Remember: With so many spectators expected, parking and driving will be extremely difficult; there will be road closures from 8am – 2pm today. Check Translink for info on bus detours, or simply take the Canada Line or Skytrain to Vancouver City Centre Station, which will put you in the middle of the action with no parking hassles!
